Privacy Policy
Summary
CursorMana does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. It does not connect to the internet. All of your settings stay on your Mac.
Data Collection
We do not collect any of the following:
- Personally identifiable information (name, email, etc.)
- Device identifiers, advertising identifiers, or analytics events
- Usage statistics, telemetry, or crash reports
- Keystrokes, clicks, cursor coordinates, or screen recordings
Network Activity
CursorMana makes no network connections of any kind. The app does not communicate with our servers (we don't run any), and it does not contact third-party services.
System Permissions
CursorMana requests two macOS permissions, both granted by you via System Settings, and used only as described below:
Accessibility
Required only when you enable the Zoom feature. CursorMana
uses NSEvent.addGlobalMonitorForEvents to detect the specific
keyboard shortcut you configure in the app for activating zoom. We do
not log, store, transmit, or otherwise process any
keystrokes. Only the configured shortcut combination is acted upon; all
other key events are ignored and discarded.
Screen Recording
Required only when you enable the Zoom feature. CursorMana
uses Apple's ScreenCaptureKit framework to capture pixels in a
small area around your cursor. These captured frames are rendered live
inside the ring overlay on your screen and immediately discarded. Captured
frames are never written to disk, copied elsewhere, sent
over the network, or otherwise persisted.
Local Storage
Your preferences (ring color, sizes, click effect settings, zoom shortcut,
etc.) are stored locally on your Mac via macOS's standard
UserDefaults mechanism. This data stays on your device and is
never sent anywhere. You can delete it at any time by running
defaults delete com.yutonakanishi.cursormana in Terminal.
Children's Privacy
CursorMana is rated 4+ on the Mac App Store and is safe for users of all ages. Since we collect no data at all, no special handling for children's data is required.
Changes to this Policy
If this policy ever changes, the new version will be published at this URL and the date below will be updated. Material changes will be communicated via the app's release notes on the Mac App Store.
